We will be streaming this year's conference live via YouTube.

You will be able to interact with each other and the presenters via the live chat while the event is live. You will also be able to ask Dr Karl a question ahead of the event during ticketing.

ACCESSING THE LIVE EVENT

You will be provided with instructions on how the live event via email once you purchase your ticket.

INTERACTING WITH OTHER AUDIENCE MEMBERS

During the conference you will be able to interact with other audience members via a moderated YouTube live chat. When doing so, please be sure to adhere to the Skepticon 2020 Code of Conduct: https://www.skepticon.org.au/policies-1/Code-of-Conduct.

ASKING THE SPEAKER QUESTIONS

This year we will be using a platform called Slido to ask speakers questions.

As we will be asking speakers to answer questions from Slido first try not to ask your questions on YouTube live chat. However, if there is time and you have asked a question via the YouTube chat, we will ask these as well.

We will have different links for the Saturday and Sunday sessions - these will be emailed to you along with your YouTube link on the morning of the event and will also be in the YouTube description.

To ask a question:

  1. Click on the Skepticon Slido link in your email/ YouTube description. You can do this via your phone or computer.

  2. Type in the question you want to ask, and press send.

  3. If someone has already asked the same question as you, or you like their question, you can upvote their question to give it a better chance of being asked.

You can watch the 1:30min tutorial on how to use Slido here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SLOX1kaubmo&feature=youtu.be

SKEPTICON BINGO

Finally, we will also be playing some Skeptical Bingo; while there won't be any prizes involved, this is just to have a bit of extra fun alongside the conference.

The Bingo link will be emailed to you along with your YouTube link on the morning of the event and will also be in the YouTube description.
